1.      What do you mean by Knowledge Repository?

A Knowledge Repository is a centralized place to store information and knowledge, which can be easily accessed and retrieved. It is used to manage and disseminate knowledge within an organization or community, enhancing learning, innovation, and efficiency.

2.      What is Cyber Presence?

Cyber Presence refers to an individual's or organization's existence and activities in the digital space, including social media, websites, online forums, and other internet-based platforms. It reflects how they are perceived and interact within the cyber world.

3.      What is 3R principle in environmental issues?

The 3R principle stands for Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. It is a strategy for managing waste and promoting environmental sustainability by minimizing the amount of waste produced, reusing materials whenever possible, and recycling them to reduce landfill usage.

4.      What is Moodle?

Moodle is an open-source Learning Management System (LMS) used to create and manage online courses. It provides tools for content creation, student engagement, assessments, and collaboration, facilitating e-learning and blended learning environments.

5.      What is INFLIBNET?

INFLIBNET (Information and Library Network) is an autonomous Inter-University Centre of the University Grants Commission (UGC) of India. It aims to promote and facilitate libraries and information resources sharing among academic institutions and provide access to scholarly content.

6.      What is NPTEL?

NPTEL (National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning) is an initiative by seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) to provide high-quality education through online courses in engineering, sciences, humanities, and management.

7.      Why you can say that “Internet is widely used, not wisely used”?

The Internet is widely used for various purposes such as communication, information, and entertainment. However, it is not always used wisely due to issues like misinformation, cyberbullying, privacy invasion, and over-dependence on technology. Effective internet use requires critical thinking and responsible behavior to maximize its benefits while minimizing potential harms.

8.      Explain some academic search techniques.

Academic search techniques include using scholarly databases like Google Scholar, JSTOR, and PubMed, employing Boolean operators (AND, OR, NOT) to refine searches, using keywords and phrases, filtering results by publication date or relevance, and accessing libraries' electronic resources.

9.      Explain the features of Learning management system.

Features of an LMS include content creation and management, student enrollment and tracking, assessment tools (quizzes, assignments), communication tools (forums, messaging), collaboration tools (group projects), reporting and analytics, and integration with other educational technologies.

10.  Explain the features of NICNET

NICNET (National Informatics Centre Network) is a nationwide information and communication technology network in India. Its features include providing e-governance solutions, facilitating data sharing and communication across government departments, offering internet services, supporting video conferencing, and enabling secure transactions.

11.  Explain the multidisciplinary nature of Environmental studies

Environmental Studies is multidisciplinary, encompassing natural sciences, social sciences, and humanities. It integrates biology, chemistry, physics, geology, and ecology to understand natural processes; sociology, economics, and political science to address human interactions with the environment; and ethics, history, and law to guide sustainable practices and policies.

12.  What are the advantages of using Technology in Education?

Technology in education offers numerous advantages such as personalized learning experiences, access to a vast amount of information and resources, interactive and engaging learning through multimedia, collaborative learning opportunities, flexible learning environments (e-learning), and efficient administrative processes. It also prepares students for a technology-driven world.
